Sir David Attenborough was guest of honour at the launch at
Bradgate Park yesterday. The
Rotary Club of Leicester is hoping to raise £150,000 towards the construction of the new centre, as part of it's Centenary celebrations in 2016. Sir David, whose father was once president of the Rotary Club of Leicester, said Bradgate Park was a place of world importance.
His enthusiastic support for the project was reported by the BBC.
The event was also attended by a host of dignitaries, including Leicester mayor Sir Peter Soulsby, Bishop of Leicester the Right Reverend Tim Stevens and county council chairman Rosita Page. We were delighted to present our concept for the new visitor centre to the assembled audience.
